Divine Laws Regarding Food, Marriage, and Covenants, and the Prohibition of Transgression in Religion

In these verses, Allah reminds the believers of their duty to honor covenants and fulfill promises, as faith is not only belief but also responsibility. He clarifies what types of food are lawful and pure, and what is forbidden, teaching Muslims to live with discipline and gratitude in their daily lives.

The verses also set guidelines for marriage, allowing union with righteous women from the People of the Book, reflecting Islam’s balance of faith, family, and community ties.

At the same time, Allah warns against exceeding limits in religion, for true faith lies in obedience to His commands without adding or taking away from them. Thus, these rulings establish a framework of justice, moderation, and respect for divine law, safeguarding both individual purity and social harmony.
