In these verses, Allah reminds us of the message of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). He called his people to worship Allah alone, confirmed the truth of the Torah before him, and gave glad tidings of a messenger to come after him whose name would be Ahmad — another name for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This shows the unity of all prophets in their call to monotheism and their shared mission of guiding humanity. The coming of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was not a break from past revelations but a continuation and completion of them.

The verses also affirm that, despite the efforts of disbelievers to extinguish the light of truth, Allah will complete His light and make His religion prevail. It is a promise of hope, strength, and victory for those who believe.
