The Truth About Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him), His Miracles, and the Scene of Reckoning on the Day of Judgment

In the Qur’an, Jesus (peace be upon him) is honored as one of the greatest prophets of God — born miraculously, without a father, by God’s command. His miracles were many: he spoke in the cradle, healed the blind and the leper, and even raised the dead — all by the permission of Allah.

But the Qur’an is clear:

Jesus never claimed to be divine.
He called his people to worship Allah alone, the same message brought by all prophets before him.

On the Day of Judgment, the Qur’an describes a powerful scene. Allah will ask Jesus:

“Did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah’?”
And Jesus will reply:
“Glory be to You! I would never say what I had no right to say…”
(Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:116)

This moment affirms the truth: Jesus was a servant of God, not God Himself. His miracles were signs of God’s power, not proof of divinity.

The Qur’an invites everyone to reflect honestly and humbly:

If Jesus himself will declare his innocence of being worshipped, should we not return to the pure worship of the One who created him?
