In these verses, Allah clarifies the mission of the messengers. They were not sent to compel people into faith, but to bring glad tidings to those who believe and act righteously, and to deliver warnings to those who turn away from the truth. The messengers are guides, not controllers of destiny, for ultimate judgment rests with Allah alone.
The Qur’an also emphasizes the human nature of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He is a messenger chosen to convey God’s words, but he does not claim divine power or knowledge beyond what Allah has revealed. This protects the purity of the message and reminds believers that Islam calls to worship of Allah alone, not the veneration of any human being.
Finally, these verses urge people to listen to the Qur’an with humility and heed its message, for rejecting divine guidance leads only to loss.
