The Story of Moses (peace be upon him)

In this passage, Allah recounts the story of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), one of the greatest messengers. Allah spoke directly to him at the sacred valley of Ṭuwā, commanding him to go to Pharaoh, who had become arrogant and oppressed his people. Moses was given clear signs — his staff turning into a serpent and his glowing hand — to prove the truth of his mission.

The story highlights Moses’ humility as he prayed for his heart to be expanded and his speech to be made clear. Despite Pharaoh’s tyranny and the magicians’ opposition, the truth prevailed. The magicians themselves recognized the signs of Allah and believed, even under threat of punishment.

This account reminds us of the struggle between truth and falsehood. It shows how Allah supports His messengers and that ultimate victory belongs to the believers who remain steadfast. The story of Moses is thus a timeless lesson of faith, courage, and trust in God.
