In these verses of Surah Az-Zumar, Allah calls out to His servants with words full of hope: “O My servants who have wronged themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”
This is one of the most comforting messages in the Qur’an. No matter how great a person’s sins may be, the door of repentance is always open. Allah’s mercy is greater than any sin, and His forgiveness is available to all who sincerely turn back to Him.
At the same time, the verses remind us of Allah’s greatness and majesty. The whole universe — heavens and earth — are small before Him. His knowledge and power encompass everything. This balance between His vast mercy and His supreme majesty inspires both hope and humility in the believer’s heart.
For Muslims and seekers of truth, these verses are an invitation: never lose hope in Allah, and always return to Him. His mercy is vast, and His forgiveness is for all who seek it sincerely.
