Rather, they serve a greater purpose \u2014 to point to the truth of God\u2019s oneness and to test humankind in their response to His guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The passage warns those who deny the truth and mock the message of the prophets. Though they may be given time in this world, their end is certain. Their arrogance cannot stand against the justice of Allah, and their idols or false gods will not protect them when judgment comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the same time, the verses affirm God\u2019s constant protection of His prophets. Throughout history, every prophet faced rejection, ridicule, or hostility.
